Required Riding Attire

Western Students

HELMET: ASTM-SEI approved helmet with harness is required when mounted on a horse.

PANTS: Jeans are recommended.

BOOTS: Western riding boots & Paddock boots are also permitted.

*Tennis shoes or open toed shoes are prohibited.

*Jackets, sweaters, vests, or sweatshirts worn to class should be fitted to best evaluate riders equitation.

 

Our English Students

HELMET: ASTM-SEI approved helmet with harness is required when mounted on a horse. If student is interested in showing we recommend black or gray stripped helmet by GPA, Charles Owen, etc.

PANTS: Breeches or jodhpurs are recommended.
jeans are permitted(not recomended)

CHAPS: English Full Chaps (w/jeans) or half chaps ( w/breeches or jodhurs) highly recommended.

BOOTS: Tall riding boots- leather field boots / dress boots preferred. Rubber boots & Paddock boots are also permitted.

GLOVES: gloves are recommended, leather or cloth okay.
